Double National Recognition: Maitland Motors Named Finalists for Top Garage 2026 & BEN Workplace Wellbeing Award!

We have some incredible news to share from the workshop! Maitland Motors has been named a national finalist in TWO prestigious automotive industry awards:
1. Top Garage 2026 (4–6 Employees Category)
2. BEN Workplace Health & Wellbeing Award
Standing alongside the UKs top independent workshops marks a massive milestone for our family-run garage in Burntisland. In fact, it reflects everything we strive for every single day. Combining high-level technical expertise with an honest, supportive working environment for our team.

1. Top Garage 2026 Finalist (4–6 Employees Category)

The Top Garage Awards celebrate technical skill, customer care, and business excellence across the independent automotive sector. After reaching the Top Garage finals back in 2023, securing our place again for 2026 proves the hard work, consistency and skill of our small dedicated team.
From day one, our mission has been to offer drivers in Fife a genuinely trustworthy alternative to main dealerships. Founded on values of honesty, technical excellence, transparency, and family integrity, we pride ourselves on giving clear, jargon-free advice and doing the job right the first time.
Whether it’s our credentials as a Pagid/IMI Accredited Brake Specialist, maintaining our standing as proud member of the Good Garage Scheme, or fitting top-tier OE quality components, this repeat national recognition validates our commitment to high standards.

2. BEN Workplace Health & Wellbeing Award Finalist

While technical capability is vital, we believe a great garage starts from the inside out. Additionally, that is why being named a finalist for the BEN Workplace Health & Wellbeing Award means so much to us, especially after winning the BEN Award back in 2024!
Above all, looking after the physical and mental wellbeing of our team isn’t just a corporate tick-box. It is at the very core of our family culture. From investing in modern workshop equipment and comfortable working conditions to fostering an open, supportive atmosphere where everyone feels valued, we know that a happy, healthy team delivers better, safer service for our customers.
Also, BEN is a charity particularly close to our hearts.  Chrissie currently preparing to run the Silverstone Half Marathon to raise vital funds for BEN  and we have benefited greatly with all the have to offer including helath checks and mental helath support. Returning as finalists after our 2024 win reinforces how closely aligned our values are with supporting our trade family.

What’s Next? The Final Round!

Next up, Ross will participate in a final interview with a panel of industry experts. This will be his chance where to share the story behind Maitland Motors, our daily operations, and our vision for continuous improvement.

Finally, following the interview, the overall winners will be officially announce. Ross will be dressed to represent Scotland in his trademark kilt at the national black-tie awards evening on 14th November 2026.

A Heartfelt Thank You

Ultimately, we could not have reached this stage without two groups of people.
Our Amazing Team: Laura, Dave, Sean and Callum, thank you for your skill, reliability, and positive attitude every day in the workshop.

Our Loyal Customers: Thank you to everyone across Fife who continues to trust us with their vehicles. Above all, your support and word-of-mouth recommendations keep our doors turning!

Wish us luck as we head into the final interviews! As always, we look forward to representing Fife on the national stage once again and continuing to deliver “Vehicle Care You Can Trust”.
